Academic Cultural Enrichment Scholars Program (ACES)

BCFI, the Black Child and Family Institute, provides one-on-one tutorial services for students in grades K-12 for academic support.

Students are placed with tutors from MSU’s Service Learning Program. Students bring their classroom assignments to the tutorial sessions Monday-Thursday from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

OUR VISION
Children and youth who have access to high quality programs and services feel valued and respected, and show respect for others. Students reach and exceed grade appropriated literacy and math comprehension levels, as well as, continued exposure in technology-based initiatives through our Magic Johnson/HP Inventor Center.

 

Office Hours:

Monday - Thursday from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Schedule follows the Lansing School District calendar for days off.

You must enroll your child to take part in the program.
